How many of us say I love what I do! or maybe say I used to love what I did, it was for a moment of time and space, eventually got used to it and started to think what’s next or where am I heading?
Throughout my career, I have been very vocal and open about learning and innovating the way we work, think and act.
This could be because of the leaders I had to work with, who had been tremendously motivating and helping me to identify the problems, potential and did support to solve and mold me to an extent.
While we are almost at the end of 2021 with just a handful days left, I wanted to share my thoughts about embedding constant learning towards your upcoming journey and making skills and learning as part of yourself in 2022 for a better year.
While the pandemic has just changed the way we work, live and play.
It is also vital to change the dynamics of learning and constantly improve our skills towards the upcoming years ahead.
Technology Trends in 2021

The way things are getting automated, new tools and applications built every day, the world and the workforce are definitely getting to an all-new level.
Hence, it is equally important for the existing workforce not just to learn the basics of what is going on but keep UpToDate and enhance the required skills to be aware and ready.
Of course, there is a huge gap in the mindset and people as we all are running behind the fame of quick wins instead of long-term benefits and getting stuck at where we are and what we are doing irrespective of whether it is important or not.

So here are some of the lifelong learning examples:
- Internships and apprenticeships
- Taking Vocational Courses
- Learning a new language
- Studying a new subject, playing a new game or sport
- Learning to use a new piece of technology
- adding your skillset during employment
From a technological perspective humankind has taken a high speed train, for example the
- web1.0 was static,
- web2.0 was very dynamic (writable, meaning users can interact with the site and each other),
- Whereas web3.0 is executable, here computers can interpret information like humans, then generate personalized content for users.
While web3.0 is going to be amazing and I am thinking the technology will go to a way new level where it will write all our email responses before going to office the next day, it shall ask for our review and consent to send it. Oops imagine if this happens!

According to Wikipedia Lifelong learning is the ongoing, voluntary, and self-motivated pursuit of knowledge for either personal or professional reasons.
It is important for an individual’s competitiveness and employability, but also enhances social inclusion, active citizenship and personal development. So, wherever you are in your career or life, do not settle down, embed learning as your lifelong dream and keep on chasing it.
